Q & A

Coupon Clipper: I am having problems finding the right charity to accept all of my health care items that I've been collecting, I bet I have about $300+ but my local place only takes food. Do you have any suggestions as to places that accept this type of donation?

Me: I have a friend who works for Gleaners and she recommended the site http://www.pantrynet.org/. I peeked at it and it is really a great site. On the home page there is a pantry locater button of the left hand side. You just need to enter your zip code and how far you are willing to drive and several (like 20+ for me) popped up. Out of that list you could find (by calling, the phone numbers are included) a location to donate your food, hygiene and medications.

Hospitality House in Walled Lake will take food & health & Beauty items. They are on Maple Rd in Walled Lake. We donate there often.
