Q & A

From and email...

Coupon Clipper: I have a Kroger question for you:How should I use the skinny red Kroger coupons that I get in the mail?

Do I consider them store coupons and stack them with a manufacturers coupon and use them at Kroger?-OR-Do I consider them manufacturers coupons, and use them at another store such as Meijer when they are having a sale on that item?

Thank you for your advice! I love saving money!

Me: I have to laugh at this question... I received a phone call from a friend just today asking the same question... it was a marital dispute; Husband VS. Wife.

The husband thought that the coupons were only allowable to be spent at Kroger and the wife thought that because they are manufacturer coupons that they could be spent at any store that accepts coupons.

The wife was correct!

Manufacturer coupons are manufacturer coupons. Kroger may place their logo on the coupon, but that is just them being tricky trying to make you think that it is only spendable at their store. I personally just clip (with my sharp scissors, of course) the logo off of the coupon and I spend it as I see fit.

Does this also mean that the Cataline ones that print out say at Meijer I can use that at Kroger if they say Manf coupon?
