Bonus Tutorial: Bacon Ranch Dip

Since sour cream has been on sale for $.50 or less that last two weeks, I thought I'd share an easy and inexpensive recipe for wow-ing your friends and family!

Ingredients: sour cream, ranch seasoning mix (I purchase mine in bulk) and bacon crumbles.

First, I sincerely believe in mixing and serving your dip in a container other than what the sour cream was purchased in... it helps your dip to scream "I'M HOME MADE AND THEREFORE YUMMIER THAN STORE BOUGHT!!!" Seriously, it does! So scoop your sour cream into a resealable container.

Next add a packet of ranch salad dressing mix.

And add a heaping helping of bacon crumbles!

Stir well and refrigerate for at least an hour, but feel free to lick the mixing spoon in the meanwhile!

Slice and dice your favorite veggies, and make sure to publicly wipe the sweat from your brow when you tell your loved ones how hard you slaved to make them some of your famous & delicious dip!

Dip Tips:
1. Reduced fat dairy products (like sour cream and cream cheese) have shorter consumable time periods, the regular varieties have a much longer fridge life, so stock up on these 'full fat' dairy products when they are on sale.
2. I also make a veggie dip using Good Seasons Italian dressing mix as well- deee-lish!
3. Adding bacon crumbles, shredded carrots or diced cucumbers into the dip makes your dip look more "home made" and much more fancy!
