Stocking Up?

I've decided to switch up my Grocery Game Plans just a little bit! (Confession: I'm pregnant, and prefer napping to blogging in the afternoon!)

Since I began spending coupons in March of 2008, I've always followed a simple coupon spending strategy to save my family time and money- I look for 1-5 items to stockpile weekly. If I continually add fresh (rock-bottom priced) items to our at home stash each week, my weekly spending doesn't ever need to break the bank, or cause me to unload an unearthly amount of grocery bags!

This week I'm stocking up on these items:

1. Ziploc bags- Meijer

$2.00 Ziploc Bags, 15-20 ct freezer, 20-25 ct storage or 100 ct sandwich
-$1.50/2 Meijer Mealbox printable coupon
-$0.40/1 Ziploc Bags coupon (from 7-25 SS), use 2 or $1.00/2 coupon (from 7-25 or 8-8 SS or printable here or here), use 1
$0.45 or $0.75 each when you buy 2 with coupons
Bonus: Enter 2 Ziploc UPC codes to get a FREE Back to School Menu Plan Booklet from Ziploc and Taste of Home.

***I found peelie coupons on the center aisle display, buy two get one FREE!!!

2. Dial hand soap- Kroger

$1.00 Dial Liquid Hand Soap, 7.5-11.25 oz or Dial Bar Soap, 2 pk
-$0.35/1 Dial coupon (from 8-15 RP)
$0.30 after coupon

3. Cottonelle toilet paper- Rite Aid

Buy 4 @ $6.49 each = $25.96
Use $5/$25 coupon here = $20.96
Use (4) $1/1 coupons from 8/15 SS or July All You magazine
Use $1/1 August Video Values coupon
Pay $15.96
Get $10 in SCR = $5.96 or just $1.49 per 12 pack!!

I stocked up on the Ziploc bags as well, because I had some to the buy 2 get 1 free coupons as well. I will also be picking up Turkey Breast at Kroger for .99 a pound. I roast them up for my husband's sandwiches, yup he's spoiled. I also stocked up free progressive soup at Meijer.

  17. Congratulations! Yeah! Babies are wonderful. In terms of couponing, I'm changing my tune a bit too. I want to make more things from scratch and reduce our intake of store-bought goods.
