I read on some blog (sorry don&#39;t remember where) that you don&#39;t really even *need* laundry soap for barely dirty clothes, the agitation cleans them. I cut them according to the size wash I&#39;m doing--from 1/4 sheet for a small load up to the whole sheet for a super load. Alas, I&#39;m about to run out of them so I guess I&#39;m back to detergent and vinegar and baking soda (for the rinse) for a while. For a while we reverted back to bar soap, but that is oh so messy, and hard for a toddler.<br />I have found that the method pumps pump a lot less hand soap, so I fill them. :)<br />I like your ideas. I have been doing the cut back on detergent for a long time now. However never thought about the dishwasher tabs, but that won&#39;t work right now sense we have the gel tabs. We also have an issue with cloudiness, and it was reccommended to us to use &quot;Leminey shine&quot;(SP). That stuff works wonders, you use it with your reg dishwashing detergent. I have cut back on the amount I use because they do not offer coupons, and it goes pretty fast and is over $3 a bottle. <br /><br />Dustin(my son) just got on me the other day for too much toothpaste. I am bad bad bad about that. I love to fill my brush.<br /><br />I have started using the foam dish soap you had mentioned and plan to use your tip on refilling. However, it has last me like a month now, so I am very excited about this change. And my Olay daily facials always get cut in half before I use them. They are just too big.<br /><br />Great reminder...
